Dunes Ahead

A walk to the sky? Nice effect...
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richa. This is the first of a series on dunes.
I think I would prefer to see the Angels...for some reason these wooden walkways seem to me to do more aesthetic harm than good to the place they are erected to protect.
But, It is a nice pic, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: This is the first of a series on dunes. The board walks are vitally important to keep the dune systems in place. The marram grass is very shallow rooted and fragile. Walking on it once (beside being painful) will kill the grass and....there goes the neighourhood and the dune system. This photo is the first on a series on dunes.
The gold along the sides really make it into a special shot.
Mary MacADNski: You'll like the next few shots, Michael. Golden dune grasses abound.
This is a fabulous shot! I love it! I think it's the color and the symatry!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Helen. This is the first on a series of dunes.
This is a nice shot. I like the upward perspective and the colour tones
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Richard. Come back tomorrow and see the views from the top of the bridge.
Lovely simple shot that works so well.
Mary MacADNski: It's the first shot on a series of dunes.
I like this, Mary. I think it works very well. love the golden grass at each side, too. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Rosalyn. Dunes (and golden grass) is the theme for the week.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE boardwalks, Mary, and think they're wonderful aesthetically! I know how they protect and not harm the ecology. Now I'm eager to see the dunes. The thought of them brings back many happy memories from my childhood on Lake Michigan!
Mary MacADNski: Boardwalks are very important on our north shore for the protection of the dunes. I think you'll like the series though I wish it had been a blue sky day....but what can you do?
Excellent - great lines and I like the light colours.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Louis. I was hoping for a sunny day but we've been getting grey days every time I get out to shoot.
µAnother lesson of composition ! Bravo Maestro
Mary MacADNski: Now that is a compliment. Thank you so much!
Lovely shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Scarlet. This is the first in a series on dunes.
The colors in this are so lovely with their light hues, Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Kathryn. I was wishing for a bright, blue sky day but you take what you get.
Gourgeous picture Mary, you know I love dunes very much, the colour of the wood against the grass is so nice
Mary MacADNski: I love the grasses in the dunes. Come back tomorrow for more.

Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Roland. this is the first in a series on dunes.
It's an inviting path isn't it. Makes a good picture.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Ellie. Come back to see the dunes too.
this shot has the magical ability of inviting the viewer in. i feel like i'm there...
Mary MacADNski: It is the entrance to dune land and you're invited to visit.
this is very well-captured...
Mary MacADNski: Thank you, lola. It was the beginning of a series on dunes.
