Field of Sunshine
comments (20)
Sunflowers!!! I've got mixed feelings about sunflowers but this picture does sway me towards liking them
Mary MacADNski: It was just a small field and really very pretty.
You get enough sun on PEI for sunflowers? And pretty ones too?
Mary MacADNski: We're the beach capital of Canada, Ray. Of course we get sun. We're also a farm based economy - again, sunshine.
Beautiful landscape, Mary, with all the Sunflowers facing you!
Mary MacADNski: Grabs the eye doesn't it?
Oh man! That's gorgeous, Mary!
Mary MacADNski: Driving by is a treat!
i've been sad today. this makes me less so. who wants to be sad when there is a field of sunflowers out there, somwhere near the ocean with a sweet wee house for me to live in? nice story. cheers. ~S.
Mary MacADNski: Hope you feel less sad each day and glad flowers help. There are lots in my archives and even more beautiful ones with the real flower photographers on SC. I always find them uplifting as well.
looking at your pix i get the impression of a flower addressing a gathering of flowers, and what ever topic it is, it must be interesting for you actually have their attention... i like your view... good work
Mary MacADNski: That's me, the flower queen.
This is a lovely photo. I love the lines of the composition. It has all come together really well.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, P. Karen. I took several different shots. Always hard to choose which one.
Fantastic. It's almost as if each flower is shouting "Look at me! Me! Me!"
Mary MacADNski: Ha, I think you're right and they're getting their wish.
Lovely composition and sweep of sunflowers is joyful and mood enhancing. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: They are definately mood enhancing. You can't help but smile driving by.
Sunflowers !!!! Lovely composition..
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Shakara.
Lovely shot, sunflowers are such a great subject
Mary MacADNski: They're very popular subjects.
These flowers shout for attention - if you look close, even the furthest flowers still have great detail. And such a nice rural setting. Likey stuff.
Excellent picture.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Louis. I got quite a few shots of the field that day.
Very lovely picture Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, bridge.
Sunflowers aren't my favourite flowers (too big ?) but your picture is gorgeous! I enjoy the simple rural landscape with the contrast of the yellow jumping at you and such clear details.
Mary MacADNski: The same farmer has been growing the big giant sunflowers for a few years but this year he grew smaller ones and only this one small field.
Beautiful picture!
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Christine.
A simply lovely image. All the best, Dave.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks. Hope the holiday was wonderful, Dave.
Very nice! I like.

Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Karen.
i missed this one somehow...great shot. Sunflowers just work so well in pics!
Mary MacADNski: I think they are the short-lived jewels of the flower world.
Followed a link you gave to 'Chad' in another thread to view this.
I am so glad I did. This shot is so spirit lifting. Have you trained those sunflowers to face the same way
Mary MacADNski: Thanks,s Pops. It's amazing how they do that.
Glorious field of flowers. Love the way they take up most of the photo, and the little house occupies the upper left, and water and sky are in the upper right.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Leora. I showed the owner of this field this shot. They want a copy.
