Red Road Wandering
My hike this week was two and a half hours through several rain showers. This is the first time that we were on a road that vehicles travel on. It led to a trail that connects with our normal woods roads. Even through the rain, it was exhilarating and wonderful.

very nice fall colors, looks like a road to no where, love this.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Dotun. It was a really great hike even though it poured rain through most of it.
Bob Dylan.
Beautiful shot Mary, love the colours and the depth the road creates.
Mary MacADNski: It was my first time on that road. We usually stick to the woods but my friend wanted to show me something.
100% eyecandy, Mary. Including the lovely, wet, red, diminishing, grave road and...am I really seeing this...the merest hint of a rainbow near the top of the image.
Bob Dylan You really made me chuckle with your "my friend wanted to show me something" remark, which took me back to my pre-teen years and some early gender-difference exploration behind the shed. [grin]

Mary MacADNski: Luckily we were quite aware of our genders which are not different - no fun there. For the life of me, I can not see a bit of difference in "corrected" comment.
Nice. I like the way roads goes up and down along with the colorful bushes. Gives an amazing depth to the picture.
Mary MacADNski: Here are a couple more shots of the same day. It was awesome!

No one can beat Dylan. Love the colour of the soil.
Mary MacADNski: Dylan is the master, for sure. The other versions are good too. It's such a great song!
Beautiful Shot, makes me want to jump on my quad bike, and go for it
Mary MacADNski: This would be great on a bike though it is quite hilly. Come on over!
The road clearly does NOT want to be outdone by the those gorgeous trees, Mary!
This reminds me of the gravel road to our cottage in Michigan, except ours isn't so red. But the trees are definitely in their glory right now. I saw photos from my sister who was there on Saturday!
Mary MacADNski: We had a lot of wind this weekend so a lot of the leaves will have fallen. Since there are still green trees the colour will be lasting a bit longer. It's wonderful hiking any time but this time of year is so pretty.
What a wonderful image. Beatiful autumn colour and that amazing, undulating road drawing you into the photograph. (:o)
Mary MacADNski: Here are a few more of the same walk:

Is it really that far to the pub? Nice autumnal shot. Where I live, this is the season when the factories begin to shed their paint! All the best, Dave.
Mary MacADNski: Pub? Realllly far to the pub from here.
Hi, I agree with Coleen. I want to get to the top of the road and see what's over the hill. And I think I can see a hint of a rainbow too.
Mary MacADNski: I took tons of photos during this walk. The roads curved and rose and fell and were wonderful. Here are a few more photos:

All rain can do is make you wet - and clean! Problem is when the sun sets and you are still wet.
Gender-difference exploration - oh my, the english is a wonderful language if you want to play something down. The picture is great - again that reddish PEI colour on the road. I talked on the phone when first looking at this picture and scroll the webpage up and down. If you would do a crop including the bottom up to just over halfway, the picture looks different and still great.
Mary MacADNski: I just returned from the same spot on a warm, blue sky day. The hike was great in the dry weather but the colours aren't as saturated. It was fabulous!!!!
Wow Mary, I am speechless, such a beautiful picture, BRAVO,sometimes I wish I had a larger vocabulary in English to expres what I mean, but well you know I mean well
Mary MacADNski: I easily know what you mean. I think you english is great.
Hands down Bob Dylan is the winner for me. What a poet. Great shot to accompany Dylan, Mary. Where is this?
Mary MacADNski: This is in Eastern Prince Edward Island.
This is some serious clay here. Your fall colors are great. I love fall.
Mary MacADNski: We've had an exceptionally fall season. It's 18 degrees today. I just got back from that same exact spot on a bright, blue sky day. Fabulous hiking area.
Love the rustic colours in your shot Mary.
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, Tracy. i just returned from there on this bright sunshiny day. The colours were better in this rainy shot.
I'm a Bob Dylan fan but somehow the Beth Orton version suits the picture better.
Dr Hook's "couple more years" would work with this too. Oh by the way I love the picture.
Mary MacADNski: I have several versions but only those three on my music pages. I love the song by almost anyone. Thanks, Bill.
increible imagen, con unos colores cálidos impresionantes, y la carretera, sublime
Mary MacADNski: Gracias, xavi. Es lugar perfecto para ir de excursión.
its lovely! and I like the Buckets of Rain by Beth Orton & M. Ward
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, DamyB. Great song and they do it really well!
Bob Dylan for ever!
Mary MacADNski: I walked three hours on these roads yesterday and two and a half hours the day before. Today I am resting.
Caminé tres horas en estos caminos ayer, dos y una mitad de las horas el día antes. Me estoy reclinando hoy.
Look like fun
No winter there. Beautiful scene. I'm getting cabin fever because I can't get out in the woods. Your photo promises me what is to come.
Mary MacADNski: I'm getting pretty tired of snow shots and went for some colour.
Road to eternity...
Cool shot...
Mary MacADNski: Thanks, EhsanT.
